Precision seeder: the innovative Ortomec solution
Increasingly oriented towards technological evolution in the agricultural sector, Ortomec team has developed and created an innovative solution for sowing leafy crops: an electric precision seeder. The new Multi- Seed – this is the name of the machine – allows seeds to be planted according to a precise logic, with the aim of increasing the efficiency of this particular process.
Are you curious to know in detail the novelties of this new model and discover all the advantages that can be obtained using an electric precision seeder? Continue reading the article to find out more!
Amazing technology: that’s why you should choose an electric precision seeder
Compared to any other machine, a precision seeder is able to control the entire sowing process so as to make it leaner and more effective. It is therefore the ideal solution when the production of vegetables becomes important and consistent. Indeed, an electric precision seeder places the seeds at a predetermined distance to allow them to grow in the best conditions. Specifically, compared to the previous model, the new Multi- Seed by Ortomec has four significant ones news. Let’s see them in detail:- Ortomec Multi-Seed improves sowing performance with control and transmission semi-electronics to distributors.
- The solution is equipped with a touch-screen display positioned on the tractor, which allows the operator to adjust the seeding density with a parametric scale from 0 to 200. In addition to this, the display can save in memory up to 8 types of sowing with parameters already used for the product.
- The electric system then controls the sowing density with the variation of the tractor speed and warns the operator via the display if this does not maintain an adequate speed.
- From the display it is possible to switch seed distribution on and off , insert the vibration of the seeds in the hopper and, very importantly, register the sown area.
And compared to the previous model, what has remained unchanged?
- System of coulters on the ground has not been changed, which remain independent and with pressure regulation based on the type of soil on which to sow.
- The seed hopper remains with individual foam distributors row by row, as does the quick and practical system for cleaning and unloading the seeds.
- Stainless steel rollers with hydraulically assisted transmission also remain to have a more precise depth of the seeds, which allows sowing even on very soft or damp soils.
